Selling Italian ice is like missionary work!

You are probably thinking what the?! how does this relate? well dont worry! i'll tell you. So i pretty much have the coolest job this summer! I work for my friend Duke- he just opened up an italian ice cart down at the gateway close to the corner of 200 South and 400 West. If you haven't been down there yet Then you have been missing out on the best (the only) Italian Ice in SLC! It's so delicious.
So missionary work is all about talking to people on the street and being a friend to all. The cart just opened memorial day weekend so not that long, many people don't know we're there or what italian ice is. (So now just change italian ice to missionary work or the gospel whatever fits) i'm standing there and people pass by me I say "Hey! How are you doing today?" some try to ignore me some give a response. I say Hey! Would you like to try some italian ice? some say No and walk away, I tell them to have a good day and i know they'll come back when they are ready to partake of the deliciousness. Some are a little bit hesitant- they've never had it before. so i give them a free sample. (If they were on the rocks before i usually get them at the word free, people take anything if its free. You know what i'm talking about!) and some of them absolutely love it! and end up wanting to know more, and eventually some love it so much they buy it.
The thing i find most interesting though, is i see some people walking along and for some reason or another i think ehh, they probably dont want any, but it doesnt hurt to ask, and those are the ones that usually love it the most! These people surprise me the most. So i've learned to ask everyone. and sometimes i have to shout, but its definitely worth it. i wouldnt want anyone to miss out on this deliciousness.
So I have a challenge for you blogstalkers! You have those friends/neighbors (your neighbors should be your friends, if not you have to change that like yesterday!) You think they've heard that message before and they dont want to know more, but hello! they might! it never hurt anyone to ask. and are they going to unfriend you just by asking? um probably not! it's not the end of the world if they say no!
And then after that challege! You should defintely reward yourself with some of Duke's italian ice! Its muy delicioso!
