So as you can see i learned pig latin in spanish this week! yeah. thats all i know. but i'm learning. It says Hola como estas tu? Ricardo in my ward taught us.
So i realized that last weeks email wasn't very good. and i realized i left a lot of things out after i left. so this weeks should hopefully be better.
First off family- Sorry to hear about Grandpa, he had an AMAZING life and aren't we sooo lucky that we have the knowledge that we will be able to see him again one day. Families are FOREVER! It's seriously one of the greatest gifts we could ever have!
I forgot! We finally got a ward mission leader. the ward hasn't had one since before i got here :s but our WML is so cool! He's a recent convert of about a year. he's the greatest! I think now we'll be able to work with the ward council better.
This week we had interviews with President Becerra. they were great! Hermana judd and i were talking after and we realized we pretty much told him the same things
We started piano lessons so far we have 3 students. i think we'll get more soon. yeah... i need to brush up on my piano skills.
We partied hard this week. we had the mission christmas party in Arcadia with the whole mission. a lot of elders and sisters shared their talents and yes, Hermana Judd and I made up a cheesy song. "Part of your world" missionary style. We were fed and recieved our gifts from our families. thanks for the presents! they're sitting under our little tree waiting for christmas day to be opened.
We also had our ward christmas party on saturday. I think the ward assumed the missionaries were in charge of the program and setting up and everything else. We sang a few songs. I think people enjoyed it?
we went on exchanges this week. I went with Hermana Dupuis to azuza/arcadia area. It was good times. Hermana Dupuis is from Canada. you know what this means? Yeah! I got to drive! i was a happy hermana. It was wierd not being with hermana Judd, and we've decided that we think this is foreshadowing of transfers. If so i guess i better actually pay attention to how to get around my area and maybe learn how to read the map too :s
And apparently last week i left you all hanging with Estefany- She's getting baptized on Sunday morning before church! her mom gave her permission! YAY!!! We're all very excited for her. She's making one of the best decisions of her life.
Remember David and Rigo and rosa? well... now Eddy (Rosa's boyfriend) has decided to start listening to our lessions!!! This is un milagro! because he has never done that in the 10 years they have been together. He even went to church yesterday!! and he knows the bishop from his childhood! concidence? NO! He's trying to change his life because he has made some mistakes in the past. I'm VERY excited to be working with them. hopefully this will stregnthen their family unity.
Maria Coria- a less active we started teaching. went over last night and her whole family sat in and listened. her daughters are 9 and 7? we gave them a book of mormon not too long ago and they've read a lot! they have a lot of questions and have such a strong desire to know more. and the youngest daughter wants a book of mormon to give to her friend at school!! SO CUTE!!!
on the flip side. one of our less actives lives in the apartments next to us and we saw him walking the way we were driving so we pulled over to talk to him and when he saw that we had pulled over he turned around.. I dont have any idea why someone would do that to the missionaries..... but we did laugh about it for a while.
Also... apparently this virus is going around. a combination of the swine flu and regular flu. I heard about it one day from a potential while i was eating lunch... yeah.. I hope none of you get it. It sound gross!
