Need. Mail. August 6, 2012

Hi! This will be quick. I only have 13 minutes to write this. you see. last week when i was in Tujunga i FINALLY got a library card for LA county. yes Finally! Then i got called to Chino, Thats in a different county. and it would be fine if i got some mail that i could bring to the library so i could get a library card, unfortunately none of you sent mail this week. So thats your goal this week! send a letter so that Hermana Randall can actually read her emails and send a good one. deal? so write me :)

This week was good. It's a lot different here. It's pretty flat. I think it's hotter but thats just maybe because we're outside finding more than we were in Tujunga and La Canada.

Oh and Friday no car days. oh Thanks for the bike family! finally putting it to use! oh we only rode about 25 miles on Friday! Was i dead when i got home? yeah a little. was i sore the next day? yeah a little.

We made an appearance at a quinceanera on Friday. My first one! and we had to bike there. ha ha! it was good.

There's one investigator that the sisters have had here forever- Dolores, Her husband got baptized not too long ago and she has a ton of family who are members- She doesn't want to be pushed into baptism. she wants to take her time. anyways. we were reading the talk - the race of life, by president Monson and she loved it, but she wanted to know how he knew this was true. we explained, prayer. reading. and then she asked, but how? She hasn't known that answers come by the spirit. lightbulb moment! hopefully Dolores will recognize that now and have that desire to get baptized.

Speaking of baptisms, stake baptisms for the 8 year olds were yesterday in Covina. we had to go for a musical number and they were having a baptism in the covina ward, so i saw some old Covina friends. It was so great! but Hermana Judd and I thought it kind of wierd that we were there together, not serving there. but yeah. good to see them all!

speaking of covina- a member, Juanita and Lorena (Estefany's mom) works at a restauraunt in our area in Chino, so of course! we went to go visit them! we had a great visit!

And one last thought- I thought it was so inspired- In Relief Society they left the last 8 minutes for testimonies. It got kind of quiet (you know how it goes) and then one sister stood up and said 8 minutes for sharing testimonies, i couldn't let us waste a minute and she bore her testimony. I LOVED this. how often times do we let a minute or two slip by, when really we shouldn't be wasting a second of precious time to share our testimonies with the ones we love.
