HI! gracias por su carta!! <-- thanks for your letter. so i have 27 minutes to write this so i'll try to say all i need to. Yeah! thanks for your letter. i haven't gotten much mail this week :( so tell everyone to dearelder.com me. that would be muy fabuloso! Glad you got that picture ha ha! Brother Monson and i were playing the who do we know in common game. the only people he said i knew. ha ha. OH! and tell Rita thanks for the cookies! I haven't eaten them yet because i'm always full, but i'll work on it dont worry
Ok. so the MTC (or CCM <- en espanol) es es muy bueno! It seems like i've been here for SO long! but only 6 days. I sleep, eat, sit in class, eat somemore and sit somemore. hope i dont gain weight. :s but yeah. its great. I LOVE mi companera! her name is Hermana Krejci (it's easier to say than to spell- it's like cray fish and tai chi, so craychi. -Krejci. not hard. She is from Omaha Nebraska, goes to Utah State studying food science. She can cook! But she's going to Chicago on her mission so she cant cook for me :( AND! She's an only child too! So we're both getting used to having a companion. It's a little bit weird sometimes, but we're getting used to it. On Friday we were doing our service and we were getting the rooms clean and ready after the senior couples left and the guy in charge - Lucas was in the room with us and i left for like 10 seconds to put the vacuum away. She was like what the?! You left me with a boy!! Yeah.. i wont do that again. ha ha! I've also seen some friends in the MTC and it's REALLY hard not to flirt, hug, or high 5 them. Only handshakes. Guess i'll get over it, but its hard!
um.. i have so much to say, but so little time. (19 min left) The second day we started teaching lessons in espanol to an investigator. (He really isn't, we think he's our teacher, but right now he's just our investiagtor) Muguel. We know exactly what we want to teach him, but it's really hard because we dont really know spanish so we cant say what we really want to. We were sitting there studying one day and Hermana Krejci goes You know... God knows we can teach him perfectly in English he just wanted to challenge us to do it in spanish.
It's hard sometimes because we should go by the spirit, but i like to write everything down, so i'm working on this. and i get a bit frustrated because i should know spanish, but then i remember i've only been here 6 days and i still have a while to go. I kinda know how to pray and bear my testimony in spanish along with my name, where i'm from, and where i'm going. Thats kind of important for a missionary. but i'm learning more everyday.
um. so there are 2 other hermanas in my district - Hermana St. Pierre and Hermana Anderson- both going to Costa Rica. and then there are 6 elders and all but one are going to Arcadia. The other one- Elder Hoobler is going with Hermana Krejci to Chicago. So we'll all be amigos for a while. Sometimes when i'm sitting outside reading my scriptures or studying whatever I feel like i'm in a place with about a thousand teenage boys and then i remember i am! Yeah.. I see why they send 19 year olds on missions. ha ha! but i'll probably mature and grow a lot too.
hmm... what else? I saw the Sparks' yesterday! you might have heard already because he said he was going to call you and tell you he saw me, but its always so great to see familiar faces. I'm trying to think of what else to say? I'll remember when i'm done with this email. ha ha. but The MTC is not quite what i expected. Yes i expected to have a schedule, but they really leave it up to you to be obedient and follow it. There's no one following you around telling you where you should be- it really is up to you. It's a good test i think.
8 min left i'm doing pretty good! Oh! so I love bed time, but i have a hard time falling asleep because all i think about is spanish-es no bueno! I think of hyms en espanol even though i dont know the words and everything else i learned that day. I'm just excited for the day when i dream in spanish- its inevitable. :s
umm 6 min. ok. Glad Cedar city was fabulous. can i have Saundras address? You should dearelder.com that to me and tell everyone else to write me. I need mail. ha ha! um It would be so great if you could send me a few things :)
a sweatshirt- from the clear box in my closet. i think i want the black one that says ROC forever
a phi shirt- the grey one that says elctryphing and a utah shirt- the black one.
um my japanese cherry blossom body spray in my drawer. and my purple eye shadow from my makeup bag. and my white shower thing that you use to put shower gel on. you know what i'm talking about. the one i have now i dont really like and I think that should be it for now. uh i have 3 min left :s so i guess i'll end I love you guys! BIG hugs to everyone from me! even coco! have a good cuddle sesh with her for me.
and oh! in your next email or dearelder whatever give me the details on earth life. ha ha! i have no idea whats going on in the world. :s Guess thats ok, but a little info would be muy fabuloso!
um ahh!! LOVE YOUR FACES!! sorry this is short, but i'll maybe make a rough draft so i can get through this faster next tuesday.
