So... this week... Oh first. gracias por su carta! handwritten.. i´m surprised. although, next time please make sure you dont write on the edges you´re going to rip off. ha ha.
yo soy muy triste a escucho los Utes lost :( pero BYU lost. esta makes me muy feliz. :)
So. una respuesta a su pregunta- The MTC is like the U campus. there's construction pretty much all over the place. and the'yre moving the mailroom/bookstore to the other side of the MTC (going to have to walk soooo far to get the mail :{ ) so we can get letters and i see that i got both your packages today, i just havent picked them up yet, but thank you in advance. I'm sure i'll love every single thing in that package. but yeah. no dearelders or local deliveries besides USPS, UPS, or fedex until thursday. so as you can imagine many missionaries will be muy excited for jueves cuando podimos leymos nuestros cartas de dearelder y recibimos packages. So i guess that answers your other question. spanish is coming... dificil at times, pero mi espanol es mejor todas las dias (yo espero)
We have sort of enjoyed the cooler weather. its nice, but in the mornings its kinda chilly. I dont know how Hna Krejci will be able to handle chicago. She's freezing in like 60 degrees. ha ha.
Ok ok so here's the happenings of the MTC
Tuesday after my last email the fireside was with Jay E. Jensen. he talked a little bit about the history of the missionary program it was pretty cool. So on tuesdays for these firesides they dont open the doors till about 6:30. so picture the day after thanksgiving day sales- people waiting outside the door to get in and then its a mad dash to find the best seat in the house. Well... we have learned that if you dont wait in line and you walk in after the doors have been open for about 5 min you tend to find pretty good seats. ha ha. So for all those about to go to the CCM don't wait in line. It's not worth it.
Wednesday- nothing too exciting happened. New missionaries! thats always exciting, pero no conozco any misionaros :( I started reading Our Search for Happiness by Elder Ballard. I loved it. i reccomend it and all should read it. i finished it on sunday i think. OH! and on wednesday i met another Hermana Randall. it was pretty exciting. I should find her again so i can take a picture with her.
Thursday- the highlight of the day- the photo machine got fixed (there are 2 and they NEVER work) AND! there was no line! So... you will be recieving pictures soon! Be excited! they are pretty sweet!
Friday- I watched some man take the mailbox away. yep... i have to walk so far to mail a letter now. oh sigh... or i can just go to the laundry room to mail it, but still so far away!
Saturday- it was "Lets wear purple day" yeah it was pretty great. and Saturday was my one month anneversary! Hna Krejci y yo have been together un mes! It's pretty great. and i was standing in the hall with Hna Krejci and one teacher came out and wanted us to be her daughters in a discussion. it was pretty sweet. I'm Sylvia 14 and i just learned about the palabra de sabiduria. <-- Word of wisdom. Fumar y tomar alcohol es muy mal.
Sunday- our speaker in relief society was Rebecca Thompson. This would be the one that served with her husband in Hamburg Germany. So i talked to her after and she said she would call marilyn right up and tell her about meeting me at the MTC. so i'm sure you've heard by now, but if not. I met Sister Thompson. She's such a great lady!
The temple walk on sunday was fabulous. took some pictures, but haven't developed those yet, maybe one day you'll see them. and for our sunday night fireside we heard from The motab. yep. we watched the September 11th devotional by the Motab. it was muy bien!
Monday- So yesterday there was a teacher who works here who came and talked to us about Arcadia. turns out missionary work is a little different in Arcadia. We knock on doors and then instead of teaching them in their houses we take them to the church to teach them. that will be different for sure. but eso si que es y esta bien!
um... this is all. but i love your faces! keep giving me the scores update and other of lifes random facts.
