HOLA! this week has been pretty good! oh and gracias por the package. thanks for the dryer sheets, although i dont really need them now, they'll come in handy in the field. loved the almonds although they did kinda taste like dryer sheets. ha ha. and the yellow envelopes, the goldfish, wheat thins, popcorn, and clothes. We've been partying it up after class en la noche antes tiempo por cama.
So Martes- Elder Ballard spoke. He was great! and we didn't wait in line again this week so we got some pretty prime seats it was great.
Speaking of firesides tonight. the one tonight is supposed to be pretty spectacular. They all gave us the October edition of the ensign and told us to read cover to cover and pay special attention to the one by Pres. Benson about how the BOM is the keystone of our religion. Last week word on the street was Elder Nelson, but I know the choir is singing "Consider the Lilies" which is Pres. Monson's fav song! so i guess you'll just have to wait till next week to find out...
Miercoles- We were eating lunch with our district and we sat next to a senior couple (We LOVE the sr couples! they are AMAZING!) anyways...I was making friends like i always do and they asked where i was going and i said Arcadia and then i asked where they were going and they said Chicago. Hna. Krejci almost gave the old lady a heart attack. She got SO excited, because she doesn't know anyone going to Chicago. so they became friends. and It's a small world, because this couple is from Vernal and they were in the Same ward as Sarah Richards and fam. How cool is that?!
Wednesday night we ate dinner with Hna Zelati. She is a cute Senior Sister going to Mexico. well... trying to go to mexico. She was born in Mexico, lived in Las Vegas and trying to go to mexico but cant get a visa :( She was supposed to be here for 2 weeks and has been here for 4. She is the cutest lady ever! so sweet and nice and practices spanish with us.
My district has started to realize that i know everyone. which is not true. i just have a lot of friends in the MTC and I make friends rather quickly. I think this will be so great for the mish. just talk to everyone! its facil!
Jueves- The highlight of the day was that my companion didn't change her outfit once. ha ha. she has a lot of clothes and likes to change her outfits quite frequently porque variedad es un especia de vida. <-- Variety is the spice of life.
Grammar became more difficult for me but i'll get it one day. i hope. I have faith.
Viernes- Mi districto implimented un nuevo ley. Solomente español de 8 in la manana a 9 en la noche. fue muy dificil porque no se muchas palabras en espanol, pero yo vivi.
And! there is no word for cute - which i say all the time. so estoy muy triste. I'll just have to teach the people the word cute.
Sabado- OH! I heard about the BYU Utah game. well... more like Utah whipping. ha ha ha! thats what i like to hear. guess i didn't miss a real game. The BBC came with camera crews and filmed missionaries eating lunch. Look for me although pretty sure the camera was never aimed in my direction. esta todo bien!
It rained so we couldn't have gym outside. We played 4 square in the gym. Those people are intense and some people think they own the place. but its all good. I survived.
Thanks for the pics of coco and i. ingenious! ha ha. everyone in my district had a good laugh and loved them and i did too.
Domingo- such an AMAZING sunday! the theme was on the atonement. and Pres and Sis. Sonne spoke (yep the Sonne's who used to be in charge of the SLC mission who came to stake conference) he's now a district pres. here at the MTC. he's so great! My favorite quote- No matter how down we get with whatever affliction Chirst has been lower. Sometimes I forget this, but this is something none of us should forget. And from the fireside Sunday night we learned that the gift of the atonement- repentence is like an umbrella. it doesn't do us any good if its raining and we dont open the umbrella, we need to open it up and use it all the time! Such a great gift that we have.
Sunday night i met an elder going to Arcadia speaking Armanian. he has another 7 weeks. I'll see him my 2nd transfer. I also sat next to the cutest little hispanic boy named Armando who speaks a lot better spanish than the rest of us which makes me REALLY excited to go to Arcadia in 21 days (not like i'm counting or anything) and to teach all the people and the children! AHH!!! So excited!!
Lunes- The highligh (or the lowlight I guess you could say) they dug up the perfectly fine flowers. :S now i have nothing pretty to look at. There's the Y on the mountain, but ugggh. ha ha. um the trees are starting to change color. i guess you could say thats pretty, but i'm going to miss those flowers (the ones in the pic of me y Hna. Krejci)
Also i haven't seen the Sparks in 2 mondays. I hope they are doing alright. I want to eat dinner with them one monday but i haven't ever seen them.
Tell Carol I say Hola and i'm patiently waiting for a letter from her too.
I hear Lee and Joan are coming to the SLC. jealous? maybe a little, but i'm in the right place.
My time is up. i'll probably write another letter soon. Tell Jane and Ren and Lauren thanks so much for the sweater! it seriously came at the perfect time! i've been thinking about how i need a new sweater and it's super cute. Gracias!
and Yes. oh! the VT Message this month- about the stripling warriors and how their mothers taught them well. Thanks mom for all you've done! you're the greatest and i'm greatful for your example to me in my life. Your the best mom EVER!
