HEY everyone!

This week was great! there was a lot less food eaten which was so nice.

It was the last week of the trio. Hermana Taylor left us today. we're seriously going to miss her and her knowledge of everything Pomona. we might get lost a lot, but its all good.

We did have some cool experiences this week. We knocked into a cute little old lady, Carmen and her grandson, Gilbert last saturday and told them we would come back later on in the week. We came back and we were planning on sharing a short christmas message from the Book of Mormon, but it wasn't working out very well. so we decided that we would just sing her Christmas Hymn. it was in english so it was kind of hard to remember the words, but we did it and she was hit with a ton of emotion. She shared how this Christmas wasn't going to mean anything to her, because this christmas would be the first without her daughter who had died earlier in the year. She didn't have anyone and said there was no reason for living. It was really sad and made me grateful for the plan of salvation and the knowledge i have of it. We referred the english elders to them who gave Carmen a blessing of Comfort. and when we were doing service at the hospital last week we saw them there and Carmen looked a lot happier. they said the elders had come by and talked with them. :) Perfect!

So as for the cute little family with the baptismal date. The Barreno's we LOVE them, but they don't live in our area, and we felt like we shoudl give them to the elders who would be able to see them more than we are able to. it was a good pass off. and seriously this family looks so cute at church all 8 on the bench! Warms our hearts.

The mission christmas party was on Friday- so good to see all of the missionaries, to hear spiritual messages as well as to be able to laugh.

Sister Becerra talked about the nativity and how sometimes we forget Joseph and how truly important he is- our Heavenly Father chose him to take care of his Son while he was on Earth. It was really cool!

So the first week of October when i was in Chino, President Becerra had a special meeting with us missionaries in the chino ward. He helped us understand how we could serve Bishop to gain a greater realationship and gain trust because he was a new bishop and we wanted him to put his trust in us.

So Hna Arriaga is the Stake RS president and she came to our ward RS yesterday. she talked about how Bishop missed us a ton. I'm so grateful for the opportunity i had to SERVE him. He was seriously one of our best friends. and i think our mission was accomplished.
