What a week! if i don't eat at all this week i think i would be ok.. No Joke on Wednesday we ate 5. FIVE times! and yesterday only 3. Hermana Taylor said it usually wasn't like this, but i'm not sure if i believe her. all i know is, I dont want to eat anymore... ay yi yi.
but Pomona is awesome! The members here are so loving (obviously, they feed us every chance they get...) and are always willing to give us referrals and are so willing to help us out with lessons and take us to their friends.
We have some super cute families we are teaching. We have a family of 6 and the 4 that are older than 8 have a baptismal date. :) They love learning. We are hoping to teach them the plan of salvation this week because the mom just lost a close family member. She will love the gospel and the peace it brings to her life.
We are also teaching Maria. She's kind of like Dolores, all her family are members and hoping that she too will be baptized one day. She loves the gospel and reading in the Book of Mormon, but needs to talk with her husband who right now is in Nicaragua working in his business, She and her son are actually moving there as soon as they sell their house. but they are the sweetest!
We've been having a ton of member lessons about the christmas message asking for referrals or people we could go by who need this christmas message and the gospel. And one of my new favorite families took us caroling to some of their friends. nothing brings the spirit more than singing Christmas hymns. and I know that without the member neighbors we wouldn't have been able to get in, but with our members we were able to get in and get to know the people and eventually start to teach them. Members are SOOO important!
So this transfer i've wanted to gain a greater appreciation/knowledge of the atonement, i prayed to gain a greater understanding and seriously my prayers were answered because in Zone meeting this week that is all we talked about and how we can understand it and apply it more to our lives and seriously thats been the focus of everything and its so cool to see how your prayers are answered like that.
the ward here is awesome! and i seriously love my companions! i'm learning so much from them.
This is the last week of the trio. we're so excited to work hard to find a ton of people to teach before she leaves and we're going to see a ton of miracles!
