Oh My! I cant believe Thanksgiving is this week. Time flies so fast! I hope you all have a fabulous one! I know we will. We're excited!
I dont think i mentioned last week our fiasco with getting to email. So here's the story. there's 3 sets of missionaries in our ward and only 2 have a car. So one set of elders had to go to Arcadia in the morning and one had to go in the afternoon. They wouldn't be back in time for the other set of elders. so what do they ask? if they can borrow our car. or sure. thats fine we can bike, except they had to take Hermana judd's bike to the office. so stuck with no bike and no car 3 miles out of our area. but thanks to the other elders to the rescue they were nice enough to let us borrow their car when they got back and we hope to never have that situtation again.
What else has happened?? We thought passing around a meal calendar was a good idea, but we might want to rethink that idea as we've eaten enough in a week to last us 3. (i might be exagerating, but only a little). But welcome to the holidays its probably just going to get worse.
Dolores recieved the holy Ghost! YEAH! she's finally a member! We're so happy for her!
Hermana Spicer has gotten a lot further in her reading of the Book of Mormon. everytime we go back we're just so amazed at how far she has read. It's so great!
speaking of that family we went on splits with Nicole, the oldest daughter. while Hermana Dupuis and Ramsay went and taught Jose and Alicia a bomb lesson we went out and did a little finding. it was good. and we are grateful that Nicole would come with us.
OH MY! I cant forget. We talked to the covina missionaries and Freddy should be getting baptized next week! I AM SO Excited to go back and see that cute family! to see their progression will be amazing! and then i can only think of a year from then when they can go back to the temple to become an eternal family! thats what missionary work is all about!
We had a good lesson with the familia nestor. they have 5 boys! i think i've mentioned them before. but anyways. that whole family is the sweetest. we just have to get them to come back to church and it's a mystery right now why they're not coming, but we'll figure it out. but anyways. we went over and actually caught ALL of them at home (first time EVER!) and we shared the story of the 2000 stripling warriors. We know how great of an ifluence their mother was on them, but while i was studying it this week i thought of the talk "Love her Mother" and i got to thinking how it was also their fathers example of loving their mothers that truly helped them see her as their example. The FAMILY with both a mom and a dad are SO important!
Anyways.. have some pictures :) These i couldn't email last week but this is from sisters hike. me with the MTC trio. I dont know what i'm going to do next transfer without them.
