so apparently i was the only one who knew what that meant when we were
going to get some lunch with an investigator and she asked if we were
going dutch. ha ha. i was like of course! my companions were a little
confused, but they figured it all out eventually. no big deal.
So great to talk to the padres + Grandma and Reed and Marilyn
yesterday. oh and carol too. LOVED IT! so great to see you all!
so this week. I told you about Joan last week i think. But we went to
visit her on monday- she opened the door to us. we were SO happy! she
was happy and she looked amazing. not tired. she told us that she felt
amazing! she hadn't drinken caffeine in like 5 days and she had been
getting the most sleep she has had in a while. SO GREAT! She still has
a ton of questions, but she loves learning and we're excited for the
progress she's making! WE LOVE JOAN!
OH HAPPY 9 MONTHS! crazy. i think i say this all the time, but
seriously. time flies! i can't believe it. i still feel super new, but
nope.. not really.
We learned how to make some delicious wheat bread this week at a
relief society activity in La Canada. i think i'll be a pro when i get
home. maybe.
We're still working with Dago- we feel like we've hit a wall with him.
I was reading Mark in personal study the other day. ch 1:16-18 i
think. How christ tells the fishers to follow him and he will make
them fishers of men, in spanish it says they immeditly left their nets
and followed him. it doesn't say they waited a week and then followed
his example. they immediatly followed him. We must always do the same!
for reals! i thought that was cool.
We're still teaching Jennifer. She's still not sure if this is what
she wants, but she's amazing! and it will help her so much in life! so
we're still working with her.
Also we're teaching Alison. she should be getting baptized in 2 weeks.
she loves learning. and is excited to be an eternal family with her
boyfriend and 2 kids. (We were so happy to find out that they are
planning on getting married and they dont live together- i think i've
already mentioned this though)
Aside from all our teaching we've noticed that the Jehovas witnesses
are following us. they've been to just about every house that we are
teaching. and we were walking to alisons the other day and they were
walking towards us. OH HEY! You must be the mormons... ha ha. then
they kept looking back at us to see if Alison would open the door. ay
yi yi... opposition in all things...
Also last week we learned that we have to make mormon.orgs and have to
show a video before every lesson- we're excited! so pretty soon you'll
be able to check us out mormon.org. but if you haven't been there.
it's so cool! I highly reccomend it.
