Hey! It was a good week! I LOVE Hermana Ramsay! apparently we're training her, but she's amazing. Her spanish is so good for only being out a few weeks and she is such a hard worker, always trying to be better, and better the area. She's super outgoing and this week we set up a booth at Calpoly to talk to students and she was so outgoing and got to know and share a little bit about the church with almost everyone that passed by.
We're continuing to work with Junior, his baptism is scheduled for sunday so we hope everything goes well so that he can be baptized.
Dolores is still working toward the 11th :)
and we're teaching Jose and Alicia who are the neigbors of Alfredo and dolores. they are loving learning! Jose will ask us a ton of questions and really loves it! They were both coming to church on Sunday, but their car wasn't working. bummer! We'll get them there this next week! They are praying whether to know they should be baptized on the 18th of November. But seriously! they are the best!
On saturday morning we had to run to the bank and as Hermana Ramsay and Dupuis were standing at the ATM one guy named David looked at hermana Ramsays name tag and said "Jesucristo!" and wanted to know more about our church. he said he was Catholic, but open to learning more and said he'd come to church the next day.
So we're sitting in gospel principles right after sacrament and someone raises their hand to ask a question. I heard his voice and thought, hmm.. sounds familiar. we turn around and it was david! we were pretty surprised, and we also felt horrible for not noticing him sooner ha ha. but he had a few questions after the class and we're meeting with him on Tuesday :) Love how you can find anyone really anywhere!
Saturday night we were driving to visit a less active family. we stop and see they are having the party of the century on their lawn. oh it was a 3 year old b-day/halloween party. we stop and i'm a little unsure if i want to go. what will they think of our costume? ha ha. but we went and i wasn't even sure who the family was. i've only met them like once, but what the heck we decided to go check it out and all the family members came up to us + we got some candy. so all in all. good decision. and we were able to get to know more of the family the next day.
I LOVE our ward members! they seriously are some of the best! And they are continuing to try and share the gospel themselves- random!speaking of ward members. you probably would love to know that the one lady who called Bro Bautista looking for a pastor like a month ago is still being taught by the Elders in the next ward over. She is loving learning and is progressing a ton!
I Love the familia Bautista! they are some of the best member missionaries as they seriously have like 4 or 5 people they have are befriending and wanting to share the gospel with.
People are ready everywhere you go! you just have to be prepared yourself to help them find the gospel.
