Hi! HAPPY 10 months!
This might be short, but i'll give you the update. It wasn't such a great week for lessons, we had the lowest number we've had in a while, but it's all good, we picked up a new investigator- Daniel. He is dating a Young woman in the ward who is about to go off to BYU this next week. He has come to seminary with her the last few weeks and has loved it. he has also come to church with her as well. His family is a super prominent family here in La Canada and so there were a few who were super worried about what his family would think, but daniel is a super sweet kid. he has a ton of questions and is super excited to learn. at first he was super nervous when we came over, but we broke the ice and then had a quick lesson. He asked us if he got baptized would he have to go on a mission, so he's been thinking about it. and he realizes that it's his decision and his parents will be happy with whatever he decides. He also has grown up with a nanny all of his life because his parents haven't always been around, he found out a few weeks ago that his nanny is a member and she found out he was interested in learning more and went out and bought him a quad. he's all ready to learn!
We had exchanges again this week. Hermana Dupuis came here and holy cow! her spanish has improved so much since i was with her last! it was great to catch up with her about the people in covina. Remember Felix? They started teaching Guillermina- his wife. thats good! and they are still teaching Freddy- and they are planning on going with their family to the temple visitor center this weekend. The family is going to LOVE it!
We had interviews with President this week! those are always so great! he gives council that really helps us with our area and to become better missionaries.
this week Hna Zamora had zone leader council and so hermana mulitalo and i were out and driving to Emily Pearsons - a less active who we've been working with, we saw leslie (the lady we helped move stuff to her house about a month ago) We pulled over and got out to talk to her, she was doing ok, but still needs a lot of help with her house, we told her we would come help her on saturday- we helped her clean out 2 shelves (there was a lot! ) we recycled a lot of it. and then we invited her to church on sunday, SHE CAME with her daughter who is a member, we had no idea, but now we do, and we're excited for Leslie's progress.
speaking of church we spent 7 hours there yesterday. ha ha. correlation, ward council sacrament in tujunga and then La canada church. we taught primary sharing time yesterday- talked about the importance of prayer. Holy cow those kids are super smart! I think they taught us.
Also this week we were helping allison make molletes, a mexican dish for one of her classes and as i was cutting up pepper and parsley and of course, some would splash in my eye. ouch! good thing Allisons house is prepared for things like that with saline drops. but Allison and Brady are doing well too, last week they kind of had a rough patch, as brady lost his job, but we remember how when we're doing the most good the most opposition comes. it's hard! but the blessings are so rewarding.
Guys! Transfer calls are on saturday! I'm kind of nervous! i secretly dont want to leave! but whatever happens happens. so i'll be good.

OH! one last thing. We have the jet propultion lab here in La Canada. it's pretty legit. So yesterday in church in the english ward, Brother Oh spoke. He is the chief engineer of the new mars rover that should be landing on Mars in 55 days. he asked for our prayers that it will get their safely.
